Our flagship HIIT program is our namesake HIT180 class. HIT180 is high intensity like all HIIT programs, but we focus on low impact exercises to lower the risk of injury. Rather than flat or incline treadmills that stress your joints, we use equipment like rowers and versa climbers. This reduces the impact on your knees and joints when compared to high impact activities like jogging or running. It just makes sense that low impact exercise puts less stress on your joints and in turn, greatly reduces injury rate. Our clients that stay committed consistently get excellent results. But more importantly, our clients’ injury rate is considerably lower compared to high-impact regimens! In this program, we have four stations: functional/dynamic workouts, upper body strength, lower body strength, and cardio that are alternated daily to avoid getting redundant or repetitive.
You may have heard about the Tabata 20/10 program. Tabata 20/10s combine strength, cardio, agility, and core exercises. Each Tabata set only lasts about four minutes, but it’s likely to be the most challenging four minutes of your life! During a standard Tabata session, you’ll do 20 seconds of high-intensity exercise, followed by a 10 second break. After the quick break it’s right back into another intense 20 seconds. Each 20/10 is one round; we do eight rounds per set and eight sets of each exercise per session!
